Proposal 3 : Lack of wearing traditional cloth (the younger generation) in urban city
  
Background Research
Traditional clothes can still be seen worn especially at official functions,However, in daily activity, wearing traditional clothes among teenagers appear to have declined since been replaced by wearing T-shirts and jeans that was allegedly more simple and comfortable.Young people prefer a simple dress shirt than traditional especially in large urban areas, this is because many felt that the working conditions that require rapid movement makes them choose to wear shirts and pants for easy moving from a traditional dress that restrict some movement.

Problem Identification 
  • Leak of knowledge about traditional cloth.
  • Most of this generation think that  urban wear is more suitable for them.

Aim and Objective
  • to give some information to the young  generation about traditional cloth.
  • to show that wearing traditional cloth  is represent  the culture and  identity of person.

  • idea 1 - making the interactive application & website that user can  get the infromation
  • idea 2- creating video and project the video (mapping) to some creative object/thing.

Proposal 2 : Noise Pollution in Urban
  
  Background Research

An important factor for the life quality in urban centers is related to the noise levels to which the population is submitted. Several factors interfere with the amount of noise pollution throughout the city. Among them, and as one of the most important, is the traffic noise.Noise pollution is a serious problem because it can disrupt the health of the population.
Some of example of noise pollution in the city :
  • Noise Pollution due to vehicles, such as the LRT and Commuter especially in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Factories, which operates mainly in crowded urban areas, pose a serious problem of noise.
  • The noise generated from highway traffic is one of the major sources of noise pollution.
  • Aircraft noise differs from road traffic noise in the sense that it is not continuous but intermittent.
  • Noise from construction sites is generally far worse than the noise originating from factories
  • Neighborhood Noise-It includes a variety of noise sources which disturb and annoy general public especially during festival

  • By using sound mixer ,user can play around and mix the sound(ambient sound of pollution) in one time.
  • Visual will appear according to the ambient sound chosen.

Proposal 1 : Squatters In The City
  
 Background Research

High rate of urbanization and its rapid growth is considered as the main cause of the increase of squatters in the city.This problem may indicate a state of poverty among its population, public policy is less tidy,lack of housing facilities,land use planning in the less efficient that overall closely related with the problem of rapid urbanization and uncontrolled .In Malaysia, the squatters problem can clearly be seen in big cities, especially in Kuala Lumpur and this is a serious problem for the city.In short, squatters in the  city could be associated with:

  •  A very rapid increase in population, of about 4.3 percent per year especially in Kuala Lumpur.
  • There are many city residents, who are below the poverty line and there are many people who are unemployed.
  • irregular land can provide opportunities for squatters to establish residence on the abandoned lands.
